Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. is seeking a Sr. Systems Manager – BaaS Platform in Pasadena, CA on-site. This contract role focuses on building scalable, secure systems using C#, .NET, and Azure to support partner onboarding and embedded fintech services.

You will lead technical efforts, design APIs and microservices, mentor peers, and drive CI/CD, testing, and observability practices while ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and SOC 2 standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, and SQL with Azure native services.
• Experience designing secure, RESTful APIs and using OpenAPI specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integration.
• Collaborate with product, architects, and engineering to define technical requirements.
• Lead code reviews and promote CI/CD, testing, and observability best practices.
• Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to monitoring and incident response.
• Draft architectural and design documentation to support decision making.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability and adoption paths.
• Refactor and extend codebase to fix defects and add features.
• Build durable, configurable systems prioritizing configurability over customization.
