Job summary

AnaVation, LLC is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to represent the engineering team in customer meetings and drive modernization efforts. The role includes planning quarterly Agile commitments, mentoring engineers, and coordinating staffing, licensing, and hosting capacity for roadmap projects.

The position is on-site in Reston, VA with exposure to a range of government program customers. Ideal candidates bring 8–12 years of relevant experience, including leadership in AWS cloud development,

Qualifications

• SCI eligible and willing to obtain polygraph (desired).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (Master’s desired).
• DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certs within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Represent the engineering team in customer meetings.
• Plan quarterly Agile Development Planning commitments.
• Drive technology roadmaps and coordinate with the Program Manager to accelerate priorities.
• Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers.
• Plan staffing, software licensing, and hosting capacity for roadmap projects.
• Supervise 5–7 direct reports, including performance reviews and timesheet approvals.
• Lead a team of AWS cloud engineers and related roles in modernization efforts.
