Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for a cloud-based information system in a government setting. Responsibilities include planning, design, implementation, and oversight of a high-performing team, with a focus on availability and security.

The role requires Top Secret clearance and SCI access with polygraph eligibility. The position will eventually be onsite with the customer in Huntsville, AL, with initial remote work.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of relevant experience in high-demand environments.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with API design and modern protocols (REST, gRPC).
• Familiarity with cloud and on-prem hybrid architectures and network virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across planning, design, and implementation of a cloud-based information system.
• Guide and oversee a high-performing technical team to ensure delivery excellence.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to align requirements and security practices.
