DoorDash Labs is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to shape the architecture and integration of next‑generation delivery platforms. You will translate high‑level goals into engineering specifications, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory alignment across hardware, software, and operations.

The role favors a strong systems perspective and collaboration across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Reliability teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering or a related safety-critical environment.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools and traceability processes.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and interfaces for delivery platforms, translating business and operational goals into verifiable technical requirements
• Develop and maintain system architecture and interface control documents across subsystems
• Lead trade studies and risk assessments to evaluate design options and make data-driven recommendations
• Create verification and validation strategies and coordinate cross-discipline verification activities
• Act as technical liaison to regulators, ops teams, suppliers, and program management to ensure compliance
