Job summary

Esri’s Professional Services team in Redlands, CA, seeks a senior engineer to lead the deployment, optimization, and modernization of mission-critical ArcGIS Enterprise environments for Defense and Intelligence customers. You will guide architecture, troubleshoot complex production environments, and mentor other engineers across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid setups.

Requirements include 12+ years of experience, enterprise ArcGIS design/administration, Windows/Linux, scripting

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server and online).
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Javascript, C#).
• US citizenship with Top Secret clearance or eligibility (SCI).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/GIS/STEM.

Overview

Build and Optimize Enterprise Technology Supporting Critical National Security Missions.

Join Esri's Professional Services team and lead the deployment, optimization, and modernization of mission critical ArcGIS Enterprise environments supporting Defense and Intelligence customers.

You`ll solve complex technical challenges spanning enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, databases, automation, high availability, and ArcGIS. As a senior technical resource, you'll guide customers through architecture and deployment decisions, troubleshoot complex production environments, influence technical strategy, and mentor other engineers.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities
• Experience designing, implementing and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server and online)
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, PowerShell, Javascript, C#)
• Familiarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)
• Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or STEM related field
• One or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon)
• CompTIA Security + certification
• Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Runtime and their associates APIs or interfaces
• Cloud-based system operations (SysOps)

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is: $156,000 USD - $239,200 USD
