Job summary

NSMA, located at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, seeks a GS-14 General Engineer to provide systems engineering leadership for airborne sensor systems. The role encompasses requirements analysis, integration, risk management, and technical reviews to support DoD acquisition from development through fielding.

The successful candidate will lead working groups, draft SOWs and CDRLs, and coordinate with contract personnel during negotiations.

Qualifications

Mastery of systems engineering theories, concepts and processes.
Expert knowledge of airborne sensor technologies and signal processing.
Experience with DoD/Navy acquisition from development to fielding.
Ability to conduct complex fact findings and present results clearly.
Strong written and verbal communication for briefings and meetings.
Ability to lead engineering work groups with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering leadership for airborne sensor IPTs and teams.
Direct R&D, production, integration and testing of sensor systems; draft verification documents.
Draft and review SOWs, CDRLs and technical reports; support contract negotiations.
Monitor project risks, metrics, and resource gaps to guide project direction.
