Job summary

Kratos Space Federal in Colorado Springs, CO seeks an experienced candidate to lead Satellite Ground Systems Engineering on a critical government program. You will guide system development, work with engineers, and ensure successful operations across ground, space, and user segments.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to translate user needs into system requirements and CONOPS for ground applications. A SECRET or higher clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years total experience in Defense/Aerospace industry.
• Satellite operations experience, including SOC functions or on-shift operations.
• Experience with satellite mission payloads across multiple payload types.

Responsibilities

• Lead Satellite Ground Systems Engineering activities on a critical government program.
• Coordinate with system developers, integration, test, ops, and support personnel.
• Translate operational user needs into software requirements and CONOPS for ground systems.
