Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, part of PACCAR, seeks an innovative engineer to define, prototype, and integrate next‑generation vehicle technologies. The role focuses on ADAS, driver monitoring, infotainment, digital displays, telematics, and software‑defined vehicle tech.

You will develop proof‑of‑concepts (RCP), define system requirements, and support integration into future Peterbilt products. The successful candidate collaborates with Peterbilt, Kenworth, DAF, and PACCAR teams across North

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and 7+ years of experience.
Experience in product development, systems engineering, or advanced technology development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Evaluate emerging technologies and define future vehicle capabilities for ADAS, connectivity, telematics, and software-defined vehicles.
Develop prototypes and Rapid Control Prototyping implementations to assess feasibility and integration impacts.
Apply systems engineering to define architectures, mature technologies, and support validation.
Author technical specs, functional descriptions, and interface definitions.
Collaborate with Product Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, suppliers, and customers; present roadmaps.
