Job summary

Talentify is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson. You will lead design, testing, and data analysis for complex electro‑mechanical systems and contribute to test bed development and DoE activities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in systems engineering, experience in regulated environments (FDA/FAA) is a strong plus, and strong technical writing skills to document protocols and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments is a strong plus; medical device industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods, perform DoE, and analyze data (Python preferred).
• Create digital outputs from sensors and interpret data.
• Develop test beds and execute hands-on testing protocols.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and manage the defect lifecycle with development partners.
• Assist in manufacturing process development and troubleshooting to identify root causes.

Job description

This is an onsite position for a motivated, hands‑on Senior Systems Engineer who has experience with electro‑mechanical devices.

The work hours for this role are 9:00am-5:00pm, but that is flexible and can be discussed with the RRP after the candidate is selected.

Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments.

General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.

Makes independent decisions.

Assists in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test Method Development, DoE, data analysis (python coding capability)
• Digital outputs of a sensor and analyze the data
• Test bed development
• Troubleshooting skills
• Developing comprehensive testing plans.
• Executing hands‑on testing protocols
• Authoring detailed technical reports.
• Managing the defect lifecycle (collection, documentation, and summarization for our development partner).

MUST HAVE Skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred)

Years of Experience: 8 yrs
