Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for an onsite, 12-15+ month contract in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on electro-mechanical systems, design concept generation, and testing to meet specifications, with potential extension based on performance and business need.

You will perform DoE, data analysis, test bed development, and detailed reporting, while collaborating with manufacturing teams to resolve root causes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years of experience.
• Experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments is a strong plus; medical device industry is ideal.
• Onsite in Tucson, AZ; contract term 12-15+ months with possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Test Method Development, DoE, data analysis (python coding capability)
• Digital outputs of a sensor and analyze the data
• Test bed development
• Troubleshooting skills
• Developing comprehensive testing plans.
• Executing hands-on testing protocols
• Authoring detailed technical reports.
• Managing the defect lifecycle (collection, documentation, and summarization for our development partner).

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ
Duration: 12 - 15 + Months (possible extension)

Job Description:

***This is an onsite position for a motivated, hands-on Senior Systems Engineer who has experience with electro-mechanical devices.
Contract may be renewed into 2027 based on candidate performance and business need***

The work hours for this role are 9:00am-5:00pm, but that is flexible and can be discussed with the RRP after the candidate is selected.

Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. Makes independent decisions. Assists in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred)
Years of Experience: 8 yrs
Experience in a FDA or FAA regulated environment is a strong plus; Medical device industry is ideal
