Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) discipline, supporting LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. You will develop requirements, definitions, and interfaces across the full lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

You will lead testing, analyze data, and collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and successful integration of hardware and software into tactical systems. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, and/or testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, interfaces, and concepts of operations for complex systems.
• Lead testing efforts, create test plans, and verify documentation in simulated and real environments.

What You Will Do:

• Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
• Lead Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
• Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
• Modeling and Simulation: Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
• Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
• Collaborate and Lead: Work with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
• Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
• Present Findings: Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
• Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
• Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
• Experience with model-based engineering.
• Experience in developing and managing requirements.
• Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB.
• Experience with C++, Python, or similar
• Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
• Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
• Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
• Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
