Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to plan, direct, and conduct system test programs on virtualization equipment, with a TS clearance and SCI eligibility. The role is on-site at our customer site in Huntsville, AL, requiring coordination with field engineers and training as needed.

You will prototype IT solutions, optimize existing systems with new technologies, and assist in planning reports and presentations that drive site operations. On-site work in Huntsville is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree in computer engineering or ten years experience in IT systems design and deployment in production.
• Five years' experience designing and implementing IT systems in production environments.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI polygraph.
• Onsite work in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and conduct regular and integrated system test programs on virtualization equipment.
• Prepare and present reports with actionable information for site operations.
• Plan and conduct on-the-job training as required.
• Coordinate with field engineers and support units.
• Prototype new IT solutions and optimize existing systems with new technologies.

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to plan, direct, and, if necessary, conduct regular, special, andintegrated system test programs on virtualization equipment. Prepare and conduct special reports and presentations thatcontain actionable information, which is pertinent to individual site operations. Plan, prepare and conduct on the jobtraining, as required. Coordinate with other field engineers. Support the unitwith other duties as assigned within the scope of work. Protype new solutions to IT challenges and optimize existingsystems in light of new technologies that come to market.

This position requires an active Top Secret (TS) clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CIpolygraph. This position is on-site with our customer in Huntsville AL.

Required Qualifications:

• Four (4) year college degree in computer engineering. In lieu of education, ten (10) years of experiencedesigning and implementing IT systems in a production environment.
• Five (5) years' experience designing and implementing IT systems in a production environment.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with a CIpolygraph.
• Ability to work onsite in Huntsville, AL

Preferred Qualification:

• Developing tools based on raw engineering work products and parsing of database structured data.
• Leading system/server development projects involving multiple developers, as well as experience in generating requirements documentation.
• Develop processes to validate performance metrics of systems. Use available COTS/GOTS software as applicable.
• Systems/Equipment Installation and Implementation to include installation, configuration, implementation, and validation of installation of components.
• Author and utilize scripting languages, mainly but not limited to PowerShell, to automate tedious, repetitive, and/or error prone tasks related to installation, configuration and management of IT systems and services.
• Designing of systems via hypervisors and virtualization sub-systems.
• Support a variety of networking, storage, virtualization, and other components that may span across multi-generational deployments.
• Evaluate effectiveness of existing technologies.
• Develop cloud (examples: Azure, AWS) infrastructure systems.
• Develop on premise cloud (examples: Azure, AWS, OpenStack) infrastructure systems.
• Add, configure, and manage Roles and Features on Microsoft Server (current Version).
• Configure and monitor systems/servers utilizing Failover Cluster Manager tools.
• Configure and monitor systems/servers utilizing Remote Server Administrative Tools (RSAT), Windows Admin Center and Azure Arc.
