Job summary

Byte Systems, a VTG subsidiary in the United States, seeks a Senior/Expert Systems Admin (DevOps) to scale our infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. You will work with developers, DevOps engineers, and data engineers to ensure reliable production systems.

The role emphasizes SQL, Linux/Windows administration, Elasticsearch, and container orchestration, with a focus on security, reliability, and scalable design in a defense-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with SQL databases.
• 4+ years of experience with Linux or Windows administration.
• 2+ years of experience with Elasticsearch.
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, provision, and secure AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) and assist with database sizing and server security.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Design, build, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support development workflows.
• Run vulnerability scans, patch infrastructure, manage VPNs, and ensure SSL/TLS certificates are current.
• Maintain and update software architecture with a focus on scalability and proactive improvements.
