Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Senior Systems Development Manager to lead a global team of SysDEs building AI-powered automation tooling and running 24/7 technical support operations. You will own automation platforms, AI/ML solutions, and self-service workflows while driving operational excellence at scale.
You will scale the team, raise technical standards, and deliver measurable improvements in ticket reduction and resolution times across regions.
Qualifications
- Experience leading system or software development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 10+ years in systems development, software engineering and technical support/oper operations.
- 3+ years leading AI/ML or automation tooling initiatives (e.g., intelligent workflows, chatbots).
- Experience managing global technical support or operations teams of 30+, incl. managers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a global SysDE team across geographies.
- Define vision for AI-powered automation platforms and tooling.
- Own 24/7 global technical support operations with SLA adherence.
- Develop multi-year roadmaps aligning automation with business priorities.
- Drive metrics like ticket reduction and time-to-resolve across the org.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and program management teams.
- Set engineering standards and conduct design reviews.
