Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation seeks an Associate Systems Director to partner with the STARS Systems Director, ensuring operational excellence and planning modernization of STARS 2.0. You will manage three geographically distributed sites and align resources with strategic goals.
The role requires cloud, DevOps, and systems engineering depth, plus strong leadership to balance immediate needs with long-term modernization. On-site at the Aerospace Technical Campus in El Segundo, CA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressively responsible professional engineering/scientific experience in aerospace/defense.
- Experience leading or managing complex programs and teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term strategic vision for STARS operations and infrastructure.
- Ensure operational continuity and mission readiness across multiple facilities.
- Lead modernization of legacy infrastructure and transition to cloud-based platforms.
- Coordinate procurement and capital purchases to support modernization and operations.
