Job summary

SICK, Inc. seeks a senior technical resource to lead and support advanced automation solutions for logistics and distribution operations.

You will partner with customers and cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges in scanning, vision, RFID, and dimensioning while guiding project lifecycle activities. Responsibilities include leading Track & Trace development, conducting design reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial automation, systems engineering, application engineering, or related experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience supporting logistics automation, materiel handling, manufacturing automation, or industrial controls.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, computer, or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Track & Trace, Vision, RFID, Dimensioning, Weighing, and Automation solutions.
• Lead customer design reviews and technical design assessments.
• Develop proof-of-concept demos and advanced testing.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex field issues.
• Support project teams during design, implementation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
• Mentor Application Engineers and lead training programs.
