Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an experienced Systems Engineering leader to drive product development across new vehicle programs within the SET group. You will lead cross-functional engineering efforts to optimize architectures, reduce part counts, and improve lifecycle costs for upcoming Ford lines.

The role requires onsite collaboration four days per week, strong leadership, program management, and ability to navigate complex trade-offs with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with Frames, Driveshafts, Fuel, Exhaust, Exhaust Sensors, Underbody Shields, PT Mounts, Body Mounts.
• Master’s degree in engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in product engineering design environment.
• Demonstrated Production Launch experience.
• Demonstrated experience with program management.
• Strong fundamentals and working knowledge of the Cost Process and Functional Led Cost/Appearance Delivery Process.
• Effective coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunity areas for optimization and part reduction.
• Drive cost reduction, weight minimization, quality improvements.
• Coordinate with Core Teams on system optimization opportunities and manage change.
• Drive SET Adherence to Systems Engineering Operating Principles.
• Champion trade-off decisions to balance within the VHE Function.
