Job summary
Vantor, a Colorado-based innovator in spatial intelligence, seeks a Senior Staff Software Systems Engineer to act as the technical authority for a product evolution. You will lead architecture, systems engineering, and integration across multiple engineering teams to deliver scalable software systems.
You will validate customer needs, guide technical decisions, and align teams around architecture while balancing delivery, maintainability, and risk.
Qualifications
- Understand complex software systems as interconnected products.
- Design and evolve large software-intensive systems with distributed architectures.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical trade studies.
- Resolve cross-team technical dependencies and conflicts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for a product or major evolution.
- Define system architecture and technical direction across multiple teams.
- Validate customer needs and ensure capabilities address the right problems.
- Lead architecture reviews, trade studies, and major technical decisions.
- Drive decomposition, interfaces, integration planning, and release sequencing.
- Balance technical, operational, lifecycle, and delivery tradeoffs.
- Identify and manage risks across the product lifecycle.
- Mentor senior engineers and develop technical leadership.
- Guide products from concept through integration, validation, and deployment.
