Job summary

Merlin Labs, Boston HQ, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to shape the Merlin Pilot architecture and interfaces for safety-critical avionics. The role involves MBSE work, translating customer needs into clear requirements for Flight Autonomy and Mission Autonomy teams.

You will collaborate across hardware, software, safety, and flight test teams, contributing to system validation and inter-team integration in a hybrid work setting with some remote options.

Qualifications

• Must have strong system architecture and requirements management skills.
• Experience in MBSE and model-based systems engineering is required.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA/DOD safety-critical certification processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define Merlin Pilot system architecture and interfaces.
• Maintain system models and ensure design evolutions are captured.
