Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering with 6+ years in R&D for components, devices, or microsystems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
• Proven track record translating research to prototypes or low-volume production.
• Experience delivering systems to DoD, NASA, or aerospace standards with engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical point of contact, delivering updates on requirements, status, risks, and decisions
• Convert customer needs into system requirements with traceability and alignment
• Develop system architectures for IR sensor products aligned with roadmaps and mission goals
• Lead cross-functional teams in requirements definition, allocation, and verification planning
• Conduct technical trade studies and major engineering decisions, including system optimization
• Oversee system-level risk management and stakeholder communication
• Plan and execute verification and validation programs for new tech and government qualification
• Manage configuration control and facilitate technology transition from prototypes to production
