Job summary
1st Edge, LLC is seeking a hands-on Principal Systems Administrator to support a hybrid Windows/Linux infrastructure across engineering and AI development teams in Huntsville, AL. You will own day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and secure infrastructure maintenance for enterprise IT and lab environments supporting compute-intensive workloads.

Qualifications
- Active DoD security clearance (or clearance-eligible).
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 10+ years of systems administration experience in Windows/Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services).
- Manage Linux servers (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, RHEL) across engineering environments.
- Design, build, and support VMware vSphere environments and GPU-accelerated compute.
- Maintain and support hybrid on-prem/cloud connectivity (Entra ID / GCC High).
- Provide hands-on administration, patching, backups, monitoring, and incident response across Windows and Linux.
