Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer Sr Principal to lead enterprise Windows-based server and application architectures, provide senior level administration, and guide complex virtualization and storage environments in a mission-critical setting.

You will design, implement, and support Active Directory, Exchange/Unified Communications, VMware vSphere, and related technologies, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring high availability and security across the

Qualifications

Experience with MS Exchange and Unified Communications (Lync/Skype/Teams).
Active Directory administration including Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
Azure Active Directory and hybrid multi-cloud experience (On-Prem, Azure, AWS).
Strong server virtualization experience and VMware ecosystem expertise (vSphere, Horizon, SRM, VCF).
Experience with Storage Area Networking and SANs (NetApp, Pure).
Detail-oriented, able to supervise and mentor engineers; strong communication skills.
TS/SCI security clearance required; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Provide senior level administration and engineering support for Windows-based servers and enterprise apps (AD, Exchange, Skype for Business).
Design, implement, and support server and application architectures; ensure high availability and security.
Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and performance monitoring; manage configurations and baselines.
Guide and mentor junior administrators; oversee training and performance reviews.
Provide technical direction for software and infrastructure enhancements.
