Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years designing and integrating complex safety-critical aerospace systems.
  • Self-starter able to solve problems from first principles.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across multiple organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Define new/novel functions to control autonomous aircraft and manage contingencies.
  • Define relationships between vehicle, pilot, and support system for remotely operated autonomous aircraft.
  • Decompose aircraft, system and LRU functions; allocate architecture and interfaces.
  • Perform trades studies to assess performance, complexity, risk and cost of solutions.
  • Collaborate with system and safety analysts to meet safety and security requirements.
  • Derive and validate requirements and interfaces to ensure correct implementation in next design level.
  • Support product development through production, test and certification.
