Job summary

Wind River seeks a Software Architect - Systems to lead the overall system architecture for embedded Linux platforms. You will drive scalable, maintainable designs and work across product teams to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a strong background in system architecture, embedded Linux, C/C++, and a proven track record leading technical design efforts. Hybrid/on-site work is required in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years with embedded Linux or systems software.
• 5+ years in architecture or senior technical design roles.
• Experience designing and architecting complex, large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Define overall system architecture and component structure for embedded Linux platforms.
• Design APIs, interfaces, and integration points between components.
• Create architectural diagrams, specifications, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and lead architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to drive architectural excellence and standards.
