Job summary

Wind River seeks a Manager, Engineering - Systems (United States) to lead a diverse team of engineers delivering embedded Linux solutions. You will shape technical direction, mentor leaders, and partner with cross-functional teams on architecture, product strategy, and customer engagement.

You will drive performance management, recruit talent, and foster career growth while maintaining high standards for code quality and system reliability in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering management experience including senior leadership roles
• Experience managing teams of 30+ engineers
• Background in embedded systems, Linux, or systems software
• Strong understanding of embedded Linux systems
• Experience with Linux kernel development or user space applications
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD, and development tools
• Understanding of code review processes and quality assurance
• Experience with technical architecture and strategic planning

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 40 engineers including Managers and senior staff
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship
• Oversee code reviews and architectural decisions
• Drive engineering processes, planning, and delivery
