Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Architect Principal to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia. The role leads the enterprise IT infrastructure transition to a resilient, scalable, self-healing environment.

You will define multi-year architectural vision, standards, and integration strategies, collaborate with partners, and drive cloud-native adoption while optimizing on-prem capabilities. TS/SCI with poly required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly.
• Minimum 16 years of IT Infra experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 14 years with a Master’s.
• 12+ years in IT Infrastructure with at least 5 years in Senior/Principal Architecture.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact solutions.
• Translate strategic intent into technical designs and inspire teams while maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year architectural vision for enterprise infrastructure services.
• Define standards, architectures, and integration strategies to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with industry partners to advance autonomous infrastructure vision.
• Lead the shift toward cloud-native architectures while optimizing edge and private cloud footprints.
• Apply Digital Engineering to streamline service delivery.
• Implement automated provisioning, monitoring, and incident response frameworks.
• Drive initiatives to monitor and reduce cloud consumption costs and technical debt.
• Translate complex requirements into business outcomes for executives.
