Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Technology or Computer Sciences or similar education required.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Azure/Microsoft 365, AD, Windows Server, and virtualization.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and lifecycle management of enterprise server, storage, virtualization, cloud, and endpoint infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain enterprise standards for systems engineering, security, performance, DR, and infrastructure documentation.
• Serve as technical lead for complex infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements to recommend scalable, secure, cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage.
• Lead planning for high availability, business continuity, DR, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and reliability; identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with network, security, application, and ERP teams for seamless integration.
• Manage vendor relationships for support, licensing, upgrades, and strategic planning.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Mentor Systems Engineers and IT staff on engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
• Research emerging technologies to improve reliability and security.
• Provide advanced support and participate in on-call rotation.
• Support Welch University initiatives with infrastructure training.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and IT governance.
