Job summary

WilkinGuttenplan seeks an experienced Systems and Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve the firm’s IT environment. You will drive design, performance, and reliability across virtualization, storage, network, identity, and cloud services, while leading a team and coordinating with internal devs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience.
• Expertise in Windows Server/Windows OS, AD, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on Hyper-V experience with clustering and storage.
• Strong network fundamentals including firewall, VLAN, VPN.
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, Conditional Access).
• Backup, disaster recovery design and testing.
• CI/CD tooling and containerization knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree or IT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the availability, performance, capacity, and lifecycle of the firm’s infrastructure (virtualization, storage, network, identity, cloud).
• Set technical direction for infrastructure projects (design, vendor eval, cost input, implementation planning).
• Act as final escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Lead and develop the infrastructure team, including supervision of a system administrator.
• Own operational security posture with hardening, patching, incident response.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and testing.
• Build and maintain automation to reduce manual work.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and app infrastructure.
• Document standards and runbooks; maintain infrastructure docs.
• Support managed services delivery for external clients.
