Job summary

Position Summary & Description

SUMMARY:

Reporting to an IT Services Coordinator, this position is the mostsenior purely technical role within IT Services. The incumbent is responsible for implementing assigned projects andperforming senior-level administration of databases, networks, andsystems, as assigned. This position manages daily operationalissues for production systems and participates in the evaluation,selection, design, andimplementation of new systems andnetworks. This role evaluates institutional practices and re-engineersprocesses to improve operations and services. The incumbent isresponsible for all phases of the software life cycle, includinganalysis, design, development, implementation, and documentation,and works collaboratively with fellow IT Services employees toimplement new technologies. In addition, this position provides leadership, subject matterexpertise, research, documentation, and consulting services tosupport the work of committees, teams, and individuals, asassigned.

This is a temporary, grant-funded position ending June 30, 2029,with the possibility of extension contingent upon fundingrenewal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Performs senior level administration of databases, networks andsystems, as assigned. Manages daily operational issues forproduction systems.
• Provides leadership, subject matter expertise, performsresearch, provides documentation and consulting to support the workof committees, teams and individuals, as assigned.
• Responsible for implementing projects as assigned.
• Works with fellow IT Services employees to implement newtechnologies.
• Evaluates institutional practices and re-engineers processes to improve operations and services.
• Participates in the evaluation, selection, design, andimplementation of new systems and networks.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is 100% remote.

Position Qualifications

MINIMUM:

• B.S. Computer Science, Management Information Systems, relatedfield or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years of experience in a variety of informationtechnology roles, with demonstrated increases in levels ofresponsibility.
• Minimum of five years either application development, databaseadministration, systems administration, or networkadministration.
