Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) administering and configuring enterprise SaaS tools (Jira and Jira Align), documenting business and functional requirements, conducting data analysis and API testing, and supporting Agile processes within a technology environment.
• Or, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) administering and configuring enterprise SaaS tools (Jira and Jira Align), documenting business and functional requirements, conducting data analysis and API testing, and supporting Agile processes within a technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements, and analyzes technology needs, and system and workflow challenges.
• Develops recommendations that address difficult business needs and opportunities.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines project scope.
• Leads other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
• Designs new systems based on requirements.
• Leads and participates in the definition of test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
• Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and manages expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
• Works with other teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
• Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
• Mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
