Qualifications

Senior Systems Analyst & Build Engineer – CI/CD & Application Delivery | Hybrid | Richmond, VA

• Local: Must be currently located in or near Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst & Build Engineer to support a major enterprise technology organization within the energy/utility industry. This is a hybrid technical and business-facing role for someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders, application teams, developers, operations, and DevOps engineering.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a senior technical professional with 5+ years of experience spanning systems analysis, application support, DevOps, build/release engineering, and CI/CD automation. They should be equally comfortable gathering and translating business requirements as they are working hands-on with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, scripting, SQL/Oracle, APIs, and enterprise application environments. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in a utility, energy, or other regulated industry, along with strong Agile/Scrum experience and a proven ability to troubleshoot production issues, support releases, automate processes, and collaborate across business and technical teams. The right person will be a strong communicator, analytical problem-solver, and team player who can take ownership while effectively working with stakeholders, developers, operations, vendors, and leadership.

Strong experience with:

• Business and technical requirements gathering and documentation
• Agile/Scrum environments, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• CI/CD pipeline development and automation
• Terraform and/or Ansible/Infrastructure as Code
• Enterprise application production support and troubleshooting
• SQL, Oracle databases, and data analysis
• APIs, web services, system integrations, and data interfaces
