Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Senior Systems Analyst for an onsite overnight role in Chantilly, VA, relocating to Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include Tier II IT systems support across VMware, Horizon View, DNS, Active Directory, and security tooling, with SOP creation and ITIL lifecycle involvement.

The role requires DoD 8570 certifications, Windows Server expertise, Cisco/TACLANE experience, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Shift is 10 PM–6 AM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in systems support/administration.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II/8140 intermediate certification required.
• DoD 8570 environment certification within 6 months (e.g., MCSA, VCP).
• Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2022, AD, Exchange.
• Experience with Cisco devices and TACLANE encryption hardware.
• Working knowledge of VMware and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II IT systems support across multiple technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, security, and technical issues.
• Write SOPs for repeating tasks and processes.
• Participate in ITIL lifecycle activities including change requests.
• Gather requirements and integrate across platforms listed.
• Mentor less-experienced Systems Engineers.
• Collaborate on projects to package releases within customer environments.
• Work hours are 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Analyst to join our team.This is a full-time, onsite position working the third shift overnight, typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. The work location will initially be in Chantilly, VA , before relocating to Arlington, VA .

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing Tier II IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), GEMOne, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Diagnosing and resolving the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above
• Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks
• Participating in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests
• Performing requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms listed above
• Providing direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers
• Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
• Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment
• Working hours will be 10pm – 6am, Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+years of Systems Support and/or Administration experience; an Associate’s degree with 7+ years or a High School Diploma with 11+ years of Systems Support/Administration experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570IAT Level II/8140 level intermediate Certificationrequired, ex, Security+
• DoD 8570 computing environment certification required within 6 months of hire, ex., MCSA, VCP, or equivalent
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Systems, specifically: Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016/2022 Servers; Microsoft Windows 10/11; administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and workstation and server hardware; administering Microsoft Office 2016; administering DNS, Group Policy, and PKI; administering vSphere or Horizon View, data backup, and antivirus software; basic networking including DHCP/TCPIP
• Experience with CISCO networking devices and TACLANE encryption devices
• Working knowledge of VMWare, and CISCO systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience applying security best practices from DISA and/or vendors
• Strong background with theMicrosoftOffice suite
• Basic networking expertise
• Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow
• ITIL Foundations certification
• Scripting experience or willingness to learn

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current or active TS/SCI clearance, and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
