Job summary

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator in St. Louis, MO to lead design, management, and optimization of Windows-based systems and AWS cloud infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems across DoD-related environments.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570/8140 certification, and strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Expect collaboration with security teams and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, OR related field, and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR
• Master’s with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• 8+ years of enterprise systems administration experience.
• Experience supporting mission-critical DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware vSphere, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience scripting/automation with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Must have Security+ CE or higher DoD 8570/8140 certification.
• Experience with RMF security controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Active Directory.
• Experience implementing and maintaining STIG compliance.
• Experience with Ansible

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support the customer enterprise system environment.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and lifecycle manage Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor system health and availability using enterprise tools.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software/OS issues.
• Support deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and system upgrades with minimal impact.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Perform backup and disaster recovery operations.
• Support accreditation activities and ensure RMF/STIG compliance.
• Manage user accounts and AD integrations.
• Collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis.
