Navstar Inc. is seeking a systems administrator to monitor, back up, and harden enterprise Linux/Windows environments supporting mission-critical programs. The role includes patching, server maintenance, and security compliance in a National Security context.

A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, along with 5+ years of relevant experience and a relevant degree or equivalent 10 years of experience. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• 5+ years in systems administration within the past 10 years.
• Experience with Linux/Windows servers, Oracle DB, DNS, domain controllers, storage, and HP servers.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing IT systems including routers, servers, switches, and storage.
• Experience designing and implementing Windows-based domains.

Responsibilities

• Monitor logs daily and automate monitoring where possible.
• Backups, data archiving, and system hardening per security principles.
• Maintain servers (Windows, Linux, Oracle, Apache, DNS, domain controllers).
• Apply patches and updates; automate where feasible.
• Assist with hardware/software acquisitions and licenses; obtain sponsor waivers.
• Submit DRs and RFCs through sponsor channels.
