Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks a highly experienced System Administrator to support a large-scale Linux cluster, including installation, daily ops, monitoring, and problem resolution across compute, network, memory, and storage components.

The role emphasizes security, system hardening, and performance enhancements. The candidate must hold an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a Security+ certificate, and 15 years of sysadmin experience (5 years may substitute for a degree).

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance is REQUIRED.
• Security+ certification is required.
• 15 years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for compute, network, memory, and storage components.
• Maintain system security integrity, configure network components, and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
