Job summary

FirstPRO 360 is seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer to own a Windows-based infrastructure. This systems-heavy role combines server and networking responsibilities, requiring comfort with troubleshooting end-to-end.

The ideal candidate will have strong IIS and PowerShell skills, Windows Server/AD/GP experience, and virtualization know-how (VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox). Some networking and security tasks, including VPN, DNS, and SSL/TLS certificates, are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows-based infrastructure and end-to-end troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of IIS, PowerShell scripting, and Active Directory.
• Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
• Networking fundamentals: firewalls, VPN, DNS, switches, and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform server/storage/hardware diagnostics and IIS/application uptime support.

Responsibilities

• Own Windows infrastructure and troubleshoot issues end-to-end.
• Perform firewall updates and address switch/network issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot server capacity/storage and failed drives.
• Maintain IIS configurations and ensure application uptime.
• Coordinate visits to the on-prem datacenter when needed.

Job description

Location: Remote – Must be local to Atlanta, GA

Contract: 12–18 months

Start: ASAP

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer who can take ownership of a Windows-based infrastructure environment. This is a Systems-heavy role with real Networking responsibility — ideal for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and troubleshooting issues end-to-end.

Key Experience:

• Strong IIS + advanced PowerShell
• Windows Server, Active Directory & Group Policy
• VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox or similar virtualization
• Firewalls, switches, VPN, DNS & network troubleshooting
• Server/storage/hardware troubleshooting
• SSL/TLS certificates
• Comfortable working across both Systems + Networking

You should be able to independently handle things like firewall updates, switch/network issues, server capacity/storage problems, failed drives and IIS/application outages.

Experience with pfSense, UniFi, Proxmox, HAProxy or Cloudflare is helpful, but not required.

This is primarily remote, but you must be local to Atlanta and able to visit a downtown datacenter when physical infrastructure requires it.
