Job summary

Cayuse Holdings, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator, SME to oversee and optimize Windows and UNIX systems, including mainframe or client/server environments. You will lead automation initiatives, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with client guidelines across multiple projects.

The role requires DoD 8140-compliant certifications, Top-Secret clearance, and the ability to pass background checks. Expect to work onsite in a professional office setting with potential for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with required years of related experience.
• Experience configuring and administering Windows and UNIX systems (Linux or Solaris).
• DoD 8140-compliant certifications (e.g., IAT Level II).
• Top-Secret Clearance is required; background checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• System Operations and Management of mainframe, mini, or client/server systems.
• Optimization and Capacity planning for system performance and growth.
• Automation of installation, upgrades, configuration, and maintenance processes.
• Investigate and address customer support and sustainment requirements.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance for OS, storage, and virtual infrastructure.
• Manage multi-project environments and liaise with vendors for issue resolution.
