Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, System Administration in Greenville, TX to join our IT team. The role focuses on maintaining Linux and Windows Server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud orchestration in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong scripting, IaC, and automation experience, plus security clearances and cross-platform administration skills to support multi-location programs.

Qualifications

• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active security clearance.
• Linux admin certification preferred (LPIC/RHCSA/CompTIA Linux+).
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with virtualization and container orchestration tools.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Automation and configuration management skills.
• Windows Server administration and performance tuning.
• Advanced scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related software in a multi-platform environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure with Linux integration.
• Manage virtualization platforms and container orchestration workloads.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and Ansible; automate tasks with scripts.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows; ensure security and compliance.
• Monitor performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement backups and disaster recovery; participate in on-call rotations.
• Document configurations, mappings, and service records; mentor teammates.
