Job summary

TEKsystems, based in Independence, OH, is seeking a contract-to-hire Infrastructure Administrator to lead and optimize our on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will act as a SME for Windows, Azure, O365, Exchange Online, and Intune, and you will mentor junior admins while contributing to security and reliability initiatives.

The role offers hybrid work in Independence, OH with a pay range of $43.00–$53.00 per hour, and a benefits package described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience administering and managing enterprise server systems including cloud and/or virtual solutions.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software technology, including operating systems.
• Expertise with Server operating systems and services including Windows 2008/2012/2016, DNS, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
• Experience with O365, Exchange Online, Azure and Intune.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and serve as escalation point for critical incidents, including resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms and lead infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, security, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs, security, and budget.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level system administrators; support onboarding, skill development, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
