Dr. Tavel Optical Group in Indiana is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our servers, networks, and cloud services across 29 retail locations and a corporate office. You will deliver reliable IT support and drive automation using PowerShell.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in systems administration, strong AD/GP skills, and virtualization experience (Hyper-V/VMware). On-call rotation and on-site collaboration with staff are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Proficiency in managing firewalls, wireless access points, and L2-L3 switch configurations.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and network systems.
• Oversee and optimize organizational network operations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to internal employees.
• Manage virtual host environments (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Configure and maintain Windows Failover Clustering (2019-2022).
• Administer and support Microsoft Entra, O365, and Exchange Online.
• Implement and manage backup technologies (e.g., Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik).
• Leverage PowerShell scripting for automation and system optimization.
• Collaborate with leadership and end users to identify and address technical needs.
