RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring an IT Systems Administrator in Tucson to support SIPR and other information systems in a Windows environment. You will work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and gain DoD 8140/8570 certifications within six months.

The role involves maintaining virtualization, AD, DNS/DHCP, backups, RAID, encryption, and server management, with occasional after-hours work and domestic travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Windows and/or Linux experience.
• Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, networking administration experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows environment supporting SIPR and other information systems.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technical environment and resolve problems of basic to moderate scope.
• Manage virtualized environments.
• Utilize Windows Server internals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Utilize hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption and server management tools.
• Utilize data backup and restore, using industry best practice.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours.
• Travel up to 10% per year.
• Work full time, 100% onsite position.
