Job summary

Intelligent Waves LLC seeks a Systems Administrator to support mission-critical operations at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The role requires 5+ years in systems administration, with Linux/VMware experience and DoD/AFI knowledge. Up to 50% travel may be required to support mission needs.

Candidates must hold a DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI eligibility; bachelor’s degree is required. This position is on-site at Eielson AFB, AK, with adherence to all site protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of systems administration experience, preferably in DoD/U.S. Air Force environments.
• Experience with Linux and virtualization (VMware).
• Strong documentation and DoD/AFI standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end IT support for servers, storage, workstations, and software.
• Install, configure, harden, test, and troubleshoot system changes.
• Apply OS patches and security updates with coordination from NOC, SOC, and leadership.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and ensure DoD/AFI compliance.
