Job summary

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to maintain a reliable and secure technology environment. The role offers broad exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure AD, security tools, and cloud services, with hands-on problem solving and collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of progressive IT experience, strong Microsoft 365 and Azure AD expertise, and familiarity with Intune and email security platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive IT experience including systems administration, cloud administration, end-user support, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity operations.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, RingCentral, licensing, security settings, user management).
• Experience with Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID, including identity management, MFA, conditional access, security groups, access reviews, and user administration.
• Experience with email security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Barracuda, Proofpoint, including spam filtering, phishing protection, archiving, and backups.
• Experience managing network services supporting end-user computing, including wired/wireless, switches, print services, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, software deployment, patching, documentation, vendor management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage day-to-day technical support for staff across hardware, software, accounts, room systems, and cloud apps.
• Manage SEIA’s IT infrastructure: Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, cloud services, servers, workstations, networking, security tools, DNS, backups.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, access controls, and resources per security policies.
• Monitor performance, reliability, security, and availability across on-premise and cloud environments; propose improvements.
• Support implementation of new tech solutions, upgrades, integrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, knowledge base, asset records, and system configurations.
• Identify opportunities to automate IT operations and improve workflows.
• Coordinate with vendors/partners to troubleshoot, evaluate tools, and complete projects.
• Assist IT asset management, procurement, licensing, expenses, and annual budgeting.
• Provide guidance to team members and support after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Share knowledge with 3rd party providers and implementation partners.
