Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior System Administrator (Senior Analyst, Information Workplace Services) for 2nd shift to support Windows and Red Hat environments. Relocation is available and an active Secret clearance is required.

The role covers 24x7 operations, with travel up to 10% for manufacturing support. You will manage AD/VMware, backups, scripting, and complex troubleshooting while collaborating with cybersecurity to meet classified system requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience; minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Linux or Windows environments; AD, VMware, backup/recovery experience.
• Active Directory, VMware, backup and recovery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems administration for Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Diagnose and resolve moderately to highly complex technical problems.
• Manage Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, replication).
• Maintain data RAID, perform backups and restore operations.
• Install and configure software applications for end users.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to enforce security on classified systems.
• Document IT processes and deliver staff training.
• Support 24x7 operations, including occasional after-hours work.
• Travel domestically up to 10% annually to support manufacturing.
