Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal System Administrator to support classified environments in Tucson, AZ. The role involves Windows and Red Hat Linux administration, security compliance with DoD directives, and hands-on data and software management for critical programs. You will work with cybersecurity teams and may travel domestically up to 10%.

The position is full-time, onsite, with a 2nd shift and a shift differential. A DoD clearance is required on day one and U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• This role requires active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance before start date.
• Candidate must hold U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with Windows Server or Linux administration and related services.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a Windows and RHEL environment.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Troubleshoot moderate to high complexity IT issues with hardware and OS.
• Configure software applications requested by end users and back up data.
• Work with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements.
• Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
• Travel up to 10% domestically as needed.
• Operate in a 24x7 production environment with potential after-hours work.
