Bring Your Skills Where They Matter Most — Support National Security as a Senior System Administrator (Desktop Support)

Location: Onsite – Springfield, VA | Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI | US Citizenship Required

Your Impact Starts Here

Are you ready to make a real difference every day? As a Senior System Administrator (Desktop Support), you’ll play a critical role in supporting the IT backbone of a U.S. intelligence mission. Your expertise will ensure that users have the secure, reliable systems they need to protect our nation’s interests—today and into the future. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team, working directly with end-users and IT professionals to keep systems running smoothly, resolve technical issues, and implement desktop solutions that make a difference. If you’re a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this is where your experience matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the go-to expert for desktop support—troubleshooting hardware and software issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops and essential applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory environments.
  • Handle service tickets professionally and efficiently, keeping users informed throughout the process.
  • Apply system patches and updates to keep environments secure and optimized.
  • Support software rollouts, tech refreshes, and new tool implementations.
  • Document technical solutions and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
  • Partner with other IT teams to tackle complex issues and improve support operations.
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
  • Deliver occasional user training for new systems and tools.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 5 years of desktop support experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with networking basics and diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills—you’re great at making tech easy to understand.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a CI Poly.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
  • Comfortable lifting and moving equipment (up to 40 lbs).
  • Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
  • Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, batch).
  • Prior experience supporting federal or intelligence community environments.

Why This Role?

Because it’s not just about fixing computers—it’s about ensuring the mission can move forward without delay. You’ll be working alongside skilled professionals in a collaborative setting where your input is valued, your growth is supported, and your work has a direct impact on national security.

Ready to step into a role where your skills truly matter?
