Senior System Test EngineerPosition SummaryDigital Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior System Test Engineer to lead hardware system integration testing for complex, mission-critical products. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, analyzing system performance, troubleshooting issues from the system down to the component level, and driving identified problems through resolution.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of hardware architecture, electrical systems, test methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques. This individual will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and overseas contract manufacturers to ensure products meet design requirements, customer expectations, and performance standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead hardware system integration testing throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring thorough and accurate validation of system performance.Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and methodologies based on product requirements and specific customer needs.Perform system-level testing and troubleshooting to identify hardware, electrical, and component-level issues.Analyze test data, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to resolve identified issues.Utilize schematics, layouts, component specifications, and design requirements to support testing and troubleshooting activities.Operate and utilize bench test equipment, including oscilloscopes, analyzers, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.Prepare detailed test reports documenting procedures, results, findings, conclusions, and recommendations.Track identified defects and technical issues through investigation, corrective action, verification, and closure.Collaborate with Hardware, Software/Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration and optimal product performance.Work with overseas contract manufacturers, including manufacturing partners in Vietnam, to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and production issues.Research and evaluate new testing technologies, methodologies, equipment, and tools to improve testing capabilities and efficiency.Support continuous improvement of system test processes, procedures, and documentation.Independently manage assigned testing activities and ensure projects are completed accurately and within established timelines.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsStrong understanding of system hardware architecture, electrical systems, and hardware integration testing.Familiarity with electrical schematics, PCB layouts, electronic components, design requirements, and industry-accepted engineering best practices.Understanding of functional safety principles, system-level failure modes, and potential hardware faults.Strong knowledge of bench test equipment, including oscilloscopes, analyzers, multimeters, and related diagnostic equipment.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex hardware systems from the system level down to the component level.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret test data and determine appropriate corrective actions.Proven ability to independently plan, manage, and execute testing activities, including test documentation, data analysis, issue tracking, and reporting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in system testing, hardware validation, system integration, or a related engineering discipline.Experience testing complex or mission-critical hardware systems.Demonstrated experience developing and executing hardware test plans and documenting test results.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with overseas contract manufacturers (CMs), particularly manufacturing partners in Vietnam.Experience driving technical and manufacturing issues through root-cause analysis, corrective action, and closure.Experience with complex electronic, embedded, industrial, semiconductor, or other mission-critical hardware products.Experience with system qualification, reliability, or functional safety testing.
