NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for the Autonomous Vehicles Platform in Santa Clara, CA. You will develop high-performance, scalable system software for data collection and fleets of autonomous vehicles, interfacing with sensors and heterogeneous hardware.

You will collaborate across hardware, embedded software and cloud teams to drive design-to-production within power and performance constraints, debug stability and safety requirements (ISO 26262), and optimize

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of professional experience working on system software.
• Excellent programming skills in C++ and C.
• Solid understanding of QNX, Linux, or real-time operating systems.
• Experience in developing user-space system software, with willingness to delve into kernel-space.
• Knowledge of embedded systems programming, threading, synchronization, and parallel computing.
• Familiarity with CPU/GPU architectures, memory subsystems, and performance optimization.
• Prior experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, GPU, or embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI-based automotive systems from design through production within power and performance constraints.
• Work with hardware teams to shape future platforms for power efficiency.
• Triage and debug stability, performance, and power issues in sophisticated systems.
• Design systems to comply with ISO 26262 functional safety and security requirements.
