Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman System Security Engineer (SSE) to support the Unmanned Carrier Aviation PMA-268 program at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The role requires DoD cybersecurity experience and an Active Secret clearance.

Salary ranges from $130,000 to $144,991 with responsibilities spanning security engineering, documentation, and program oversight. The SSE will lead cybersecurity activities across IPT, prepare SOW inputs, and ensure compliance with CSfC/CDS

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance.
Technical or Scientific BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of seven (7) years of cyber-related experience in a DoD environment is highly desired
Program office experience highly desired
Aviation engineering experience highly desired

Responsibilities

Provide support to PMA-268 Cyber Leads in execution of the PMA-268 Cybersecurity Program.
Draft and review Program Documentation, Policies and Plans; coordinate changes affecting security posture and certifications.
Lead product-specific System Security Engineering activities for all systems within IPT scope; oversee cybersecurity activities.
Develop and maintain cyber schedules with detailed Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS).
Provide input for SOWs, DIDs, and CDRLs for IPT contract activities.
Identify, define and document system security requirements and traceability; track security measures.
