Job summary

AMEWAS is seeking a talented Systems Engineer (Computer Hardware) – Journeyman to support DoD programs in Patuxent River, MD. The role requires on-site presence with a salary range of $100,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience.

A strong candidate will have relevant SSE experience, network security skills, and the ability to work within IPTs, MBSE, SysML, and DOORS in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and 7 years total experience with relevant work.
• DoD Top Secret clearance required or ability to obtain.
• Experience configuring firewalls, routers, switches; SwA, CPI, cyber risk modeling.

Responsibilities

• Performs programmatic or technical roles identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
• Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems
• Employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems
• Researches, designs, develops or tests computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use
• Supervises the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components
